Convert Futaba FF7 to 2.4G
1) The PIC board (Program board that cut the excess Channel to 6 Channel signal, and change Futaba +PPM to -PPM) . You need a PIC burner to do this. Make sure your firmware support the PIC 12F683.
2) 5V power supply to PIC board. It takes <20mA.So if you Tx circuit feeds 5V is ok to steal it from the Tx circuit. My FF7 do not feed 5V (only 3.2V) so I need an extra 5V supply (Any $10 USB charger will do)
3) Since I use 3 cell li-po for my FF7, the DX6 module eats max 11V. So I can 2 diode to reduce voltage from 12.6V to 11V.

1) Reset all Failsafe in all channel in the original DX6 Tx. THis is because Failsafe information is stored in receiver. Once conversion done, you cannot reset/change the failsafe setting, unless reconnect to the DX6 Tx. This is important if planning to convert Futaba as the channel correspond different ftom JR/DX6. e.g. Channel 1 = Throttle in DX6 will become abnormal movement aileron CCPM in Futaba.
2) Must ground all connection , including the 5V supply, PIC board and DX6 module.
3) The DX6 module will time out in <1 seconds if not PPM signal on initiation, so do not be surprised. Some Futaba model has been mentioned to switch on the Tx before the DX6 module. But I have no problem to start them together.
4) The PIC hex file from rc-man has a new version v1.3, the old version does not work with Futaba.
